Just saw a seriously strange commercial for BP during CNN's coverage of the convention:

Narrator: Are oil companies thnking of the future?
Man on the Street: You can't go from a highly oil dependent economy to the next day having no oil. And, I mean, there has to be a transition in between, and it has to involve oil companies.
Woman on the Street: Right.

This was then followed by some text discussing the benefits of natural gas.

Sure, I agree with the first half of his statement, and even with the text promoting natural gas. But "it has to involve oil companies"? It's not shocking to me that they think it, its just well, so obviously self serving that it just sounds silly when they put it in an ad. Sheesh.
