The "Liberal" Media

Can anyone out there explain to me why the recent Haliburton story is getting almost no traction in the national news media? One day and it's gone.

Sure, I understand that the SEC report determined Cheney had no knowledge or involvement in Haliburton cooking its books, but, c'mon... Can you imagine what would have happened if this story had come out about Gore when he was VP? The man was CEO when this happened. And he's in no way responsible for what happened on his watch?

Let's not forget, this occurred at the same time Haliburton was conducting business in Iran through their Cayman Islands shell company. Sure, that was technically legal, but again, imagine if something like that had been discovered in Al Gore's past? We're talking the "axis of evil" here. The media would have gone berzerk. What does this administration have to do to reach the level of a scandal? Where is the "liberal" media when you need it?
