A Thought

We now know definitively that Saddam had no WMD. Even Bush and Cheney are tacitly admitting it - after all, why turn to an abuse of the Oil-for-Food program as your latest excuse, erm... reason for going to war. Or that had we not invaded, he would have tried to get sanctions lifted, and that had he been successful, he would have eventually restarted his non-existent weapons programs and passed along those newly developed weapons to the network of terrorists he didn't have (but perhaps could have one day had) connections with.

Leaving aside all that for a moment, consider this simple fact:

In the run up to our invasion, it was a 'madman', Saddam Hussein, who was telling the truth to the American public about his WMD's, and our President, a self-proclaimed champion for freedom and democracy, who was lying to the nation and the world.
