So... the Attorney General of the United States resigns, and in an effort to keep his letter of resignation confidential, he writes the thing by hand. A few hours later it shows up on MSNBC. What does that say about...

1) the level of technological sophistication of our soon-to-be-former Attorney General
2) the ability of our former Attorney General, the top law enforcement officer in the land, to keep things confidential

and most importantly,

3) his grasp of reality when it includes quotes like this:

The demands of justice are both rewarding and depleting. I take great personal satisfaction in the record which has been developed. The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved.

Erm... It's been achieved? I guess when Bush said "America is safer" he really meant it. Wow! Nicely done John! Ended we're safe from crime and terror for all time. Woohoo!

Seriously though... Do you think it bothers him that not a single person - not one - has been convicted for terror related activities during his watch. NOT ONE CONVICTION. And yes, I'd be happy to compare that to Janet Reno's record any day.

Oh.. and for the second time in one night... props to MSNBC. What the hell is going on with the world?
