| WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Friday Washington had no way to force Iran to allow U.N. inspectors unrestricted access to suspected nuclear sites despite U.S. doubts Tehran would come clean on its own.
"I can't make sure it is going to happen," he told Reuters in an interview as he prepares to leave office. "You can't look in every cave that might be in Iran." |
So...
We COULDN'T do it in Afghanistan when we knew for a fact that Osama was hiding out in caves in Tora Bora.
We COULD do it in Iraq, a nation where there was significant disagreement about the existence of a weapons program.
And we CAN'T do it in Iran, where we know for a fact that they have an active weapons program.
Good to see we're being consistent. When we know things are facts we ignore them. When we want things to be true we make them up.
Hang on....
Up is down. New is old. Bush is a strong leader with a clear, consistent vision.
OK - back with the program. Just a momentary lapse. I promise! I'll be better from now on!
