This is just too much. The National Review has an article today entitled "Is the Money Where W’s Mouth Is?" It's a critique of the chasm between Bush's promises about cutting the deficit and his actions. And yeah, to find such a thing over at National Review surprised me. Until I got to this...

So when the president tells us that this time the administration is really committed to fiscal responsibility, one can at best be cautiously hopeful.

After 5 paragraphs of the kind of critique we usually only see from the left we get... "cautiously hopeful." You've got to be kidding me! 5 paragraphs of outlining 4 years of lies leads them to be cautiously optimistic? What would it take for them to be "cautiously pessimistic?" Or even "slightly worried?"

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths conservatives will go to defend the undefendable.
