The Uptown Swami has a bunch of interesting questions on his blog today. But here's one I've always wondered about:

Why would Jesus--who embodied Love--decide to die to save only those who believed in him? Why would He condemn the majority of the Earth's population to eternal damnation? That ain't love. At all.

As I outgrew my childhood faith and started to wrestle with my own beliefs, this was one question that I just never could get a good answer to. And no, I'm not willing to accept the "God moves in mysterious ways" answer. Because there's nothing mysterious about choosing to condemn billions of people to an eternity in hell when, as God, you don't have to.

So I'm with Swami... Anyone care to provide some answers?
