The minority blocking the majority?

How are we all missing something so obvious?
That is the ENTIRE POINT of the Senate.
Each state, regardless of population, gets two votes.
It was a compromise designed precisely to protect the rights of the minority against the majority.
AAARRRGGGHHHH!
