MORE MEMOS

Not only is the AP finally on the case of the Downing Street memos, but... they've got some new ones too. Take this, for example:
"U.S. scrambling to establish a link between Iraq and al-Qaida is so far frankly unconvincing," Ricketts says in the memo. "For Iraq, `regime change' does not stack up. It sounds like a grudge between Bush and Saddam."

He also questioned stability in a post-Saddam Iraq: "We have also to answer the big question — what will this action achieve? There seems to be a larger hole in this than on anything."

At some point Republican politicans in the Congress are going to realize that they have tied their fate to a sinking ship. Eventually, they're going to put their own survival ahead of the president. And when they do.....
