The Cartpetbagger asks: Why is it the MSM is ignoring the Valeria Plame scandal, and yet Washington is all abuzz?

No idea. But it did get me thinking....

The real gate - Watergate - took months to boil. And while it did there were long periods of time where Washington was all abuzz but the rest of the world was silent. In fact, until just about the very end, if you lived outside of DC you probably had no idea what was going on. And if you ask me, that's the sign of a true scandal. They don't break overnight. They take months, maybe even years, to boil to the top. And as the heat rises, DC gets very very nervous. They're complicated, and discovering and understanding their implications takes time. These are legal proceedings we're talking about here, not political ones. They don't happen at the speed of 24-hour cable-TV news. And they're way, WAY to complicated to deliver in a sound bite. Until, that is, the indictment comes. And then, well... then things become tricky indeed.

So until then, we wait. Be patient. Good things come, after all...
