Remember when Dems used to shrink in fear at the thought of the ability of Rove and his minions to perfectly frame complex concepts? This post over at National Review's Corner shows you just how off their game these guys are right now. The point - the ENTIRE POINT - of a simple slogan like "stay the course" is that it doesn't need a paragraph long explanation for people to understand it. You know, death tax, pro life, flip-flopper, etc.

Sure thing - what Bush said here makes sense. But its not going to make a difference so long as the slogan sounds like they don't have a clue what they're doing. It's just not how people work.
