Why is this so hard for people to understand? One of the most basic definitions/conditions attached to the tax-exempt status of charitable organizations is that they do NOT engage in partisan politics. It's quite literally black and white, and for good reason. Apparently some churches get it, but others do not. And Blackwell is encouraging the ones who do not to break the law.
And to think he claimed himself beyond reproach in his dual role of simultaneously overseeing the presidential vote and the Bush reelection campaign in Ohio....
