As I mentioned a few days back, the reason I think Cheney's hunting mishap matters is not necessarily because of the particulars of the event, but instead because of the way the entire thing plays so perfectly into the frame through which critics of the administration see things. Moreover, It is a perfect hook for journalists to write the inevitable "lame duck" / "administration adrift" stories that always come to dominate at some point during a president's second term.

So... although its no surprise that both Time and Newsweek are leading the way on this, as a critic of this administration it doesn't make it any less satisfying for me to see.
