Think Clinton's finger wagging and you've got the idea. Outside the Beltway betrayal is one thing. Inside the Beltway betrayal is something else entirely. I certainly don't think this particular story will have that kind of effect, but if I had to guess, I'd say that something quite serious will spin out of this over the next 3-6 months.

And since I'm off speculating.... if Bush was looking for an opportunity to make a bold move by dumping his VP, this would be the perfect opportunity. No, of course I don't think that will actually happen. But it sure would shake things up, wouldn't it?
