GENERAL WES CLARK & THE WAR ON RUMMY

Great insights from Gen. Wes Clark on the growing pressure on SecDef Rumsfeld. Good stuff.

I don't know much about this FoxNews show "Heartland," but if the questions offered up here are any indication of its level of sophistication, I don't know how Clark can stomach appearing on the show. The host actually asked Clark if the calls for Rumsfeld's resignation were a backlash against his efforts to "impose civilian control over the military," as if that was something new under Rumsfeld. Shouldn't their commentators know at least the basics about our system of government? And kudos to Clark for his answer - it was a history lesson / smackdown that appeared neither cocky nor arrogant.
