So says HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson.

For god's sake... He's a president, not a king.

UPDATE: Two things...

First of all, Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) has called for Jackson's resignation. Because yes, what he has done is in fact very illegal. And stupid.

Second, this story actually fits nicely with another one from a day back. Apparently the Bush White House has issued talking points to all of the cabinet and sub-cabinet officials throughout the executive branch. Their goal? To get everyone, no matter how unrelated, to spread the "good news" about Iraq.

I've said it before and I'll no doubt say it again - these people don't understand the difference between campaigning and governing.
