Total Miles Driven: 725
Total Hours Driven: 14
Total Miles Hiked: 0
Total Hours Hiked: 0
Kramer Quotient (KQ): 2

Massachusetts, New York…. New York…. New York…. Good god… Does Upstate New York ever end? Over 400 miles of hills and trees and valleys, and somehow it all looks like… Central Virginia.

I know, I know… ridiculous. And yet somehow, having grown up in the Northeast, it all just looks the same to me. And its all just so…. Boring. Mountains? These aren’t mountains. The Rockies… The Sierras…. THOSE are mountains. These things are just…. Speed bumps. But not even that.

So unfortunately, no exciting updates today. I’ve got to make Denver by 2pm Tuesday, which means I’ve been doing nothing but interstates. And there’s nothing exciting about interstates. Or interstate rest stops. Or Red Roof Inns. Nothing.

But soon enough I’ll hit the REAL mountains, and that’s when the real fun starts. So for now, no pictures. Sorry!

Oh, and for those of you who don’t yet know… The “Kramer Quotient” measures the number of large coffees consumed in one morning. And for Kramer, one of my best friends out in SF, 2 is a very VERY low number. No doubt as the days go by I’ll find a way to live up to the name.
