FROM THE "YOU REALLY CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP" FILE

So after a long, drawn out process, Judicial Watch finally gets access to the White House Secret Service logs that will show how often Jack Abramoff visited 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. These records are of course public property, and as such are open to public scrutiny. But the Secret Service nevertheless fought the request, and after a court ordered deadline was imposed, they finally delivered the goods today. And wouldn't you know it, but...

the records are incomplete!

Early reports indicated that the reports were missing substantial and important details about who Abramoff had visited and where he had been given access. But then, after TPM Muckraker did some digging, it became immediately apparent that the problems were much worse than that. And here's the part that will have you shaking your head....

Although they only show Abramoff visiting the White House on two occasions, the White House has already publicly confirmed Abramoff had visited there three times. And even worse, none of those visits that were previously acknowledged are in the newly released reports!

So... is it 2 visits? 3? 5? Does the Secret Service not know who is coming in and out of the White House? Or is it withholding information? Or even altering the documents at someone's request? What gives?

This is ridiculous.
