Over the past few days it seems nearly everyone has weighed in on Richard Cohen's silly column decrying the rise of the angry left. Glenn Greenwald, as usual, provides both an excellent summary and analysis of what's been said so far. At the risk of piling on, let me add one thought....
When "the angry left" rose up in 1972 it was the end of a movement. This is the beginning of one. And that my friends makes all the difference....
UPDATE: In a way, this new piece from Will Bunch really confirms what I just said. When today's "angry left" also happen to represent the voice of "the silent majority", it tells you just how far things have shifted. This is a beginning, not an end. It's too bad so few in DC can see what's coming.
