This should cause you some very serious concern.

These are American citizens, and they have not been charged with a single crime. And yet, because the FBI is suspicious of their recent visit to Pakistan they are being refused entry into their own nation. The government has unilaterally decided to refuse to allow them to come home. And as if that's not enough, the FBI has also refused to grant them their constitutionally protected rights to counsel and against self-incrimination.

This is precisely the sort of situation for which our Bill of Rights was created. Why is that so hard for people to understand. We are as citizens of this nation guaranteed certain rights, among them the right to due process. Our constitution means nothing if it does not protect us against actions such as this. Nothing.

Where are conservatives on this one? What has happened to a movement that once feared excessive government power? Barry Goldwater must be turning in his grave.
