A few choice stories for you:
First off, to Florida and the Katherine Harris (R) campaign. Its one thing to employ sockpuppets. Its another thing entirely to outsource them to India.
Next up, New York. Jeanne Pirro (R), the woman originally tapped to run against Hillary for the US Senate, was until today running instead for Attorney General. I say "until today" because word just broke that she's under investigation by the feds for - get this:
"plotting -- with onetime NYPD chief, former Iraq security head, would-be DHS secretary and crook Bernard Kerik -- to illegally spy on her own husband."
That's a two-fer.
Want more? It looks like the friendly folks behind the Swift Boat campaign have been busted for violating federal election laws. And not just for violating them a little, either.
More? Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO) declared today that gay marriage “is the most important issue that we face today.” Apparently terrorism and war are both highly overrated.
Maybe Rep. J. D. Hayworth (R-AZ) is more your speed? He believes that although the terrorists hate us for our freedoms, they also benefit when we exercise our constitutional rights.
Not a bad day for the party of limited government and moral values...
