Breaking Records Is What Matters Most. Apparently.

Not avoiding a failed state. Not protecting and defending our soldiers who are risking their lives. Not finding a way to make stop Iraq's rapid descent into chaos. No no....

Rusmfeld wants his record. Rumsfeld, apparently, will get his record.

One source close to the White House, who spoke anonymously in order to keep his job, believes President George W. Bush has decided to wait until after Dec. 29 "as a personal gesture to Rumsfeld." On that date Rumsfeld would become the longest-serving Defense secretary, beating Robert McNamara's record of 85 months.

Am I the only one who finds it deeply ironic that the man wants to outdo Robert McNamara? He already has, hasn't he? No doubt the president will give him his medal. But he wants his record too? This record? Really?

These people really done lost their minds...
