On the one hand, Republican leaders are expressing growing concern over the growing regionalization of the Republican Party.
On the other hand, Republican leaders just elected Sen. Trent Lott, Mr. "the world would be better if the Southern segregationists had won," to the number two position in the Republican Senate leadership.
Erm... OK. If you don't want the nation to think your party is southern, white, and racists, wouldn't it help to not elect white southern racists to positions of leadership within the party?
I'm just sayin...
