Learning to Blog

Watching Joe Klein learn to blog over at Time Magazine's Swampland has been fascinating. The man has been hammered by liberal bloggers for years, but I've long felt that his ignorance of the medium often led him to badly misinterpret much of the criticism. You can see in his writing, however, that this is beginning to change, and watching that evolution has been quite interesting.

Take, for example, this post. Here is its conclusion:

This has now happened twice in my lifetime, in Vietnam and Iraq. And I'm dedicating the rest of my life to making sure that we never go to war so foolishly again--if at all.

I hope Klein realizes the importance of what he just said. I also hope he realizes that there are thousands of people out there, maybe even tens of thousands, who will both remember this promise and hold him to it.

He has the megaphone so many of us bloggers wish we had. Lead or get out of the way....
