“You know, as you look at all the cameras gathered around and the click of the photographers, and the pundits – ” Obama was interrupted by a shriek of “I love you,” and ad-libbed, “I love you back.” Then he continued: “Sometimes you feel like you’re part of a reality TV show. You feel like this is ‘American Idol,’ or ‘Survivor.’ You’re trying to figure out if you’re going to go to Hollywood, or you’re going to be voted off the island. But that’s not why I’m here. That’s not why YOU’RE here. It’s not a contest, with the TV cameras. It’s a serious moment for America.”
