Time for blogging has been limited the past few days. Here are a few posts from other sites that you shouldn't miss:
Karl Rove is under investigation by the Office of Special Counsel. Given that the man heading up the investigation is himself being investigated, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. [UPDATE: Andrew Sullivan, by contrast, sees reasons for optimism here]
The US Attorneys scandal is spreading. Los Angeles. Kansas City.
Tom DeLay thinks he knows what treason is. Unless his own past actions qualify, he has no idea what he is talking about.
Iraqi students are showing their support for students at VA Tech. Will the Hokies respond in kind, or will this nation continue to teach its children that they are the center of the universe?
Everyone seems to agree that Gonzales needs to go. Except the president, who has more confidence in him than ever. Senate Dems are considering holding a vote of no confidence to get Republican Senators on the record on this one.
Republicans are warning Dems that should the Dems go after the missing White house emails, Republicans will go back through Clinton's emails. If the Dems don't call their bluff on this they are crazy. The GOP spent 8 years looking under, over, and inside every rock they could find. There's literally nothing left to investigate. Let them bluster all they want.
Another Republican Representative gets swept up in a corruption investigation. Ney and Cunningham are already in prison. Doolittle is going down soon, as is Renzi. And now we may soon add Feeney to that list. [UPDATE: And Don Young, too!] Given that Abramoff is now "spilling his guts," this may be just the beginning.
Army Rangers were ordered to cover-up the facts behind the death of Pat Tillman. And Jessica Lynch isn't happy about the way the military lied to turn her into a hero. All in the name of supporting the troops.
If Giuliani's strength is national security, how come he doesn't have an opinion about Bush's "surge"?
Existing home sales are plummeting. The people whose job it is to sell homes say there is nothing to worry about. Right.
And last but not least, will someone please take away Jonah Goldberg's column before he writes again? Please? Cognitive and social psychologists have plenty of convincing explanations for why Goldberg's stupid pop-quiz polls are meaningless. If he's going to write about a subject for the LA Times, shouldn't he have to find out something about it first? Granted, its something he does all the time over at NRO, but still...
