Romney: Catching Osama Not Worth the Money

Eric Kleefeld has a great catch:

"It's not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person."

— Mitt Romney, in an interview with the Associated Press

Kleefeld is right. Can you imagine if a Democrat said this? Why was this quote buried deep within the article? Romeny is now on record saying that he isn't interested in catching the man who planned and paid for 9/11. It's just not worth it to him.

I can't help but ask: if, according to Romney, we aren't interested in catching the leader of al Qaeda, and yet we're in Iraq - also according to Romney - to fight al Qaeda, what precisely is his philosophy for fighting the war on terror? Catch the foot soliders but not the leaders?
