The American people want our soldiers brought home.
The Iraqi people want American us to leave. A majority of them even approve of attacks on our military forces.
Now the Iraqi Prime Minister says he'd be OK if our soliders left, too:
"We say in full confidence that we are able, God willing, to take the responsibility completely in running the security file if the international forces withdraw at any time they want."
Will someone please explain to me why we are not listening to him?
The democratically elected government doesn't want us there. The people who elected that government don't want us there. And yet somehow I'm supposed to believe that under those circumstances we're going to successfully conduct and win a counterinsurgency campaign that's being fought in the name of democracy and freedom? Really?
