Gephardt to Endore Clinton

My reaction? Who cares.

Karen Tumulty reports that Gephardt "turned over his presidential e-mail list to the Clinton campaign." Given how well that list worked for him, I'm sure it will prove to be the last missing piece in Clinton's presidential puzzle.

And yes, no doubt his name carried "a lot of weight with the rank and file" labor union member back in 1988. Why the presence of weight in 1988 is more relevant than its absence in 2004, however, is beyond me.

UPDATE: Atrios and Ezra, meanwhile, remind us of the very significant reason why in a rational world Gephardt's support should be a detriment for Clinton.

And yes, the stupid typo in the title has been fixed. Thanks!
