First Verizon caused an electrical fire in his house, then the fire department came and put it out. Patrick O'Malley, the owner of the house, was obviously pleased that major damage was averted, but nevertheless upset that any damage had occurred at all. [Full coverage here]

This would, it would seem, be a reasonable reaction to the situation. Verzion, amazingly, disagrees. And in what may be one of the most inappropriate uses of a corporate blog I've ever seen, they have decided to use their official public policy blog to attack O'Malley for - get this - attempting to "turn this ember of a story into a forest fire."
