Over at TPM, David Kurtz asks the question that seems to be on everyone's mind today: What precisely did Sen. Craig do that was lewd?
Reading the arrest report, I have to admit that it isn't entirely clear what he specifically did that was specifically lewd. Except for one thing: He has already pled guilty to the lewd conduct charge, and he did so almost immediately. Now I know that Craig says he shouldn't have pled guilty, but nevertheless, his first instinct was in fact to plead guilty. Not to fight it, but to plead guilty. So if Craig thought at the time that was he was doing was lewd, I'm not entirely clear on why we should be questioning what happened.
