Apparently no one has any real idea what's going in in Syria right now.
do they have a nuclear program? Are they getting help from North Korea? Or is it all just one big misunderstanding. Honestly, I have no idea. But....
I do know that if I were Syria, or for that matter Iran or North Korea, I would be doing everything I could right now to get nuclear weapons as quickly as possible. The United States has shown its willingness to invade a nation it deems hostile for no other reason than that it has in fact deemed it hostile. Given that we've already made such declarations about all three nations, it becomes perfectly rational for them to pursue nuclear weapons as a deterrent against future US action.
This is what reckless unilaterlism gets you. It was entirely predictable. And yet somehow the wise ones on DC act as if they are surprised. Brilliant.
