Blade Runner: The Final Cut

I've always loved Ridley Scott's movies, but now that I have read this interview in Wired, i have a much better understanding of why. Take, for example, this quote from near the end of the piece:

Architecture would have been my game if I hadn't done movies. Frequently an architect will design a building and then walk, and not care about what's put inside it, which is a pity. If I were an architect I'd say, you know, "You can't have that chair."

It's not just that he is a perfectionist. It's that he has the talent to pull off being a perfectionist.

One of the reasons I love Frank Lloyd Wright's work is his relentless attention to detail. In his homes, for example, everything was thought out. It's not just that he designed the chairs and tables and lamps; he thought out precisely where they should be placed, too. If it didn't actually work it would be insane. But if you've ever actually been in one of his homes, you know its genius.

Scott sees the world the same way, and the amazing this is that like Wright he's actually gifted enough to pull it off.

Now: can someone please explain to me why this new version of the film is only being shown in NYC and LA. I know they want to sell the new DVD, but c'mon...I can't be the only person who would pay for both, can I?
