I'm reading my way through the NYT Sunday Magazine's Best Ideas of 2007, and some of the articles in it are just really cool.
Take, for example, this article on the appendix. Or this one on "crazy cat lady" syndrome. Or this one on electric hockey skates. Or this one on "The God Effect." Or this one about the very real possibility that sometimes hope is worse than hopelessness. Or this one on lap dance science (the implications of this study, if true, are immensely complex). Or this one on mindful exercise. Or this one about a self-righting object.
But this article on vegansexuality? And this one on bulletproof backpacks for suburban kids? Are you kidding me? How did these make the list? And how can people be so ridiculous?
