More of the "Worst of the Worst" Sent Home

Rumsfeld once defended Gitmo by saying that it was the place we sent the "worst of the worst." Today, the AP reports that another 15 men were sent back to their home country, no charges or trial necessary. That brings the total number of prisoners released to nearly 500. About 280 remain, but more than two-thirds have already been slated for release.

Thus, of the roughly 775 men who were detained, held in Gitmo, and labeled too dangerous to try in a public court of law, less than 80 will ever stand trial for anything. The rest, apparently, were innocent and hav ebeen set free.

Now...imagine if one of those innocent men had been your son. How would this make you feel? Would you still argue that it was all "worth it"?
