Here are a bunch of links to posts and articles I've come across over the last two days that due to my own poor time management skills didn't get the full post they deserve.
In no particular order:
+ Ezra Klein provides an excellent primer on the past, present, and future of health care reform in America.
+ A comprehensive study by two nonpartisan and nonprofit journalism organizations, the Center For Public Integrity and the Fund For Independence in Journalism, has concluded something those of you reading this blog already know: the administration deliberately misled the nation into war. What's noteworthy about this effort is that they not only identified 935 false statements in the two-year period prior to the start of the Iraq War, they also built a searchable database that can be used to examine the data for yourself. At this point, only willful ignorance stands between us and the truth.
+ As numerous bloggers, myself included, mentioned last week, the new Iraqi de-Baathification law may end up doing much more harm than good. Whatever else it is, it is not a sign of political progress, and may very well be "the opposite of U.S. hopes for the legislation." Stories like this are a perfect example of why I do not fear a McCain candidacy. By the time the fall comes around, the fairy tale that is his version of Iraq will be obvious to everyone - including McCain himself.
+ Like Sushi? This will depress you.
