I keep hearing/reading rumors that a proposal for officially sanctioned caucuses in Florida and Michigan may be in the offing. Maybe so, maybe not, I have no idea.
But I do know this about Florida: were Edwards to endorse Obama, the debate over what to do about those two states would be far less important. If you combine the Edwards and Obama vote in FL, Clinton only won 49.7% to 47.4%. Throw in the .9% earned by both Biden and Dodd, plus the .6% earned by Kucinich, and things get even more interesting - particularly when you remember that each of them as Super Delegates must endorse one of the two remaining candidates.
Shorter version? If Obama could win endorsements from his former rivals, he could actually end up claiming a tiny majority of the vote in Florida.
That's once scenario I'm not sure anyone has considered.
