If you don't already think our campaign finance system is badly broken, read this. And as you do, keep in mind that a large part of McCain's credentials as a "maverick" come from his ability to pass McCain-Feingold, campaign finance legislation that was supposed to stop precisely the sort of unethical behavior he engaged in here.
Amazing how few principles a man of principle can have and still retain the title, isn't it?
