Turning the Mountains Blue

Two huge signs that the Mountain West is turning Democratic blue:

First, Sportsmen for Climate Change, a group representing 670 hunting and fishing organizations, is demanding serious action to curb carbon emissions. Back in the 1980's, it was precisely these same groups who opposed any and all attempts to create new environmental regulations.

Second, take a look at these polling numbers from Rasmussen in Colorado:

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows that Barack Obama (D) currently holds a seven-point advantage over John McCain (R), 46% to 39%. However, if the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton, McCain will begin the race with a fourteen point advantage, 49% to 35%. %. National polling, updated daily, currently shows the same general trend with Obama currently performing better than Clinton in match-ups with McCain.

For the 5,379th time, if the Democratic Party blows this by nominating Clinton, we will be missing a historic opportunity to redraw the political map. Once missed, opportunities like this almost never come back around.
