About Last Night

Texas:
For those of you looking for an accurate count of delegates from the primary, Burnt Orange Report has what you need. As of earlier this morning, incoming reports had Obama and Clinton essentially tied in delegates, 62-63, but not all of the votes are reported, so things could shift a point or two either way. Bottom line? The primary results didn't much change the race.

In the caucuses, the Texas Democratic Party has their own results page here. It is still very early in the counting process, but so far, Obama has big leads in virtually all of the areas he needed to win big. We won't know for another few days what the final breakdown is, but it looks like he may win enough here to cancel out...

Ohio:
My prediction was way off here. I thought he'd close to within 2%, and he ended up losing by 10%. But... he did quite well n the areas he needed to win, so that's not going to translate into a big delegate net for Clinton. As of right now - and this will almost certainly change - CNN has it at +12, MSNBC has it at +11, and Buckeyestate has +11.

Vermont + Rhode Island:
As I mentioned last night, those were essentially a wash.

So, overall a good night for Clinton, but nothing that can't be overcome by Obama with wins this week in Wyoming and Mississippi. By this time next week, including Super Delegate announcements, I would expect to see his delegate lead up to somewhere between 150 and 175.

Time to make some calls to Mississippi, I guess!
