MidEvening Thoughts, Updated

Some thoughts...

+ The networks have called Ohio for Hillary. But I'm standing by my earlier prediction: the final result will be less than 2%. None of the urban areas have reported, and in some of the areas that have come in, there are still an enormous amount of uncounted provisional ballots. Remember that.

+ Remember too that Clinton was up in Ohio by as much as 20 points two weeks ago. Its understandable that Clinton wants to claim a big win here, but if the final spread is only a couple of points, there's no reason to buy that spin. She was supposed to win this big, and its very unlikely in the end that she will.

+ Still no call in Texas. I'm standing by my earlier thoughts there, as well. It will be very very close, but Obama will take the state in the end. And he'll win big in the caucuses

+ And remember that it is delegates that matter, not votes. Those are the rules, and the rules are what will decide this. As Chuck Todd has pointed out numerous times, she needs to win 60+% of the rest of the delegates. By the end of tonight, she will at most net 3-5 delegates, and depending on the Texas caucuses, she may actually fall further behind.

+ For minute by minute updates, follow Burnt Orange for Texas, Buckeye State for Ohio, and Marc Ambinder for behind the scenes updates.

+ Hillary's people are shouting "yes she will" at her rally. Obama's people shout "yes we can." That difference tells you everything you need to know about the two campaigns.

+ 48 hours. We won't really know what all this means for another 48 hours.
