Sleep Deprived?

That's the best you've got, Hillary? You "misspoke" about your trip to Bosnia because you were "sleep deprived"? Really?

What happened to the 3am phone call? To the Commander in Chief test that you and only you have supposedly passed? If sleep deprivation causes you to have delusions of grandeur, why on earth should we trust you to pick up the phone in the middle of the night?

And comparing Rev. Wright, a christian minister, to Don Imus? Were you sleep deprived when you said that, too? Because its great that you gave a speech about what Don Imus said (although to be truthful, I thought you were about "solutions, not speeches," so I'm a bit confused here), but how you could possibly think to compare your reaction to an awful radio show to Obama's reaction to one of his minister's sermons is beyond me. Obama attended that church for years. He heard literally hundreds of sermons on thousands of topics. You went on Imus a small handful of times to talk about a few dozen subjects. What - was Obama's response to Wright insufficiently political for you? It would have been better for him to give a speech condemning his pastor? To turn an issue inside his church into a public spectacle? Really?

And this nonsense about how "we don't have a choice when it comes to our relatives, we have a choice when it comes to our pastors and the churches we attend," is just that - nonsense. For some people - perhaps even most people - attending church is about much, much more than what is said during services on Sunday. And even if that's not true in most places, I promise you that it is certainly true in most African American churches. In that setting leaving a church means severing yourself from your community. What possible purpose - and to be clear, I mean non-political purpose - would that have served? And what precisely would have been Christian about that? Attending services isn't like choosing between Perkins, iHop, and Denny's on a Sunday morning. It isn't always supposed to be easy. You're not always supposed to agree with everything that is being said, because if you do, it means you aren't be challenged enough. Church is supposed to be about growth, and growth cannot come without hardship and struggle. When things get hard, we aren't supposed to just run away. Surely you of all people know this.

Seriously, Sen. Clinton... what's wrong with you? Do you not think before you open your mouth?
