Late Nite Round-Up

+ The President of the United States is videotaping testimonials for government contractors. From the White House. Is there nothing to low for these people? Nothing?

+ Howard Dean, today, speaking about the role of the Supers: "I need them to say who they're for starting now... We cannot give up two or three months of active campaigning and healing time... We've got to know who our nominee is."

+ That "flag pin" lady last who made an appearance during last night's debate? Jon Stewart just eviscerated her. And judging from this report, she deserved it. But Will Bunch is absolutely right: ABC News deserved it much, much more.

+ That's not to take any of the heat off of ABC, of course. George Stephanopoulos offered an incredibly lame defense of his last night, but really... After that "Sen. Obama, does Rev Wright love America as much as you" moment, what could he possibly say? Other than "I'm sorry," I suppose.

+ For the record, this today really was the right response from Obama:

Americans already understand that our system is rotten, and they already know that the media is partly responsible for the rot. Good to see that he's continuing his pivot to make that part of the rationale for his campaign.

This game will continue so long as everyone agrees to play it. Clinton clearly loves the game, as does the entire GOP. But as I so often write here, it does not have to be this way.
