Time's Joe Klein has an article in this week's Time on Obama. His argument, so far as I can tell, is that patriotism is going to be Obama's biggest weakness this fall.
I was going to respond by quoting back segments of both this very same article by Klein and Obama's speech at the 2004 convention, but Will Bunch already beat me to it. So go read him and think of me, OK?
UPDATE: It's worth nothing that, as Steve Benen points out, on March 5th Klein wrote a column declaring that "patriotism replaced hope as a theme" in Obama's stump speech.
Now that Obama has been delivering a version of that speech for a month, Klein thinks Obama's problem is that he isn't talking about patriotism enough. That's just brilliant. I mean... wow.
